Random Thoughts of the Month

Syntax Error!

Many old people no longer believe in the saying “First impression lasts”. For them, it is already in-effective but to us, students, it will not be.

In taking the course that we like, we cannot escape from the fact that there are difficult subjects we are going to face. On the first day of the class we can easily discern that a particular subject is difficult and will think that it will never become easy until the end. There will be moments that we want to stop from schooling because of what we believe in.

I am a student taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I cannot deny the fact that I am just a beginner in this field and unaware of using computers but because I want to learn something, I persevere.

Programming is one of my major subjects. I truly find difficulties in this area. At first, I really do not know as to how to do it nor the necessary things I need in order to make a good, running program even if it is properly introduced and discussed to us. I have to go deeper and squeeze my mind only to make it. I think I became cracked every time I cannot run my program. Many times I said to myself that I have to stop because this subject is not easy but I encourage myself that I can make it by thinking it in a different way – that programming is just easy. I am searching for ways how to understand it and found out that what I lack are more exercises, training, and patience in making a program. Now, every time I successfully run my program, I am able to build up my confidence and realize that it is not difficult. Somehow, regrets are flying in my mind because only if I was able to build up my confidence at the very start, I will not get a syntax error – of thinking that programming is hard. I feel great whenever I finish and run my program and I become excited to make another one. I realize that what I need is just a little challenge in life.

On the Soft Side

What’s in?

It’s the beginning of the year again. Expect more about new
outcomes this year. Check out what’s in this year in terms
of fashion, gadgets, etc.

Past is past. Last year’s gadgets may upgrade and become
more modernized or may degrade and become obsolete this year.
Many devices will come out more reliable, durable, and better
than the previous ones. Many companies of gadgets find their
own ways to level up their products for them not to be left
behind in the market history. Year after year, they will

beeper turned into a cellular phone and is a necessity in this
generation. From black & white to high resolutions. From big to
thin and slim sizes, equipped with camera, radio, television,
mms, Bluetooth, internet and a lot more. This is just one
example of the many changes that happens as years pass by.
